    Description

    1932 Charleston, SC, Public Buildings Depression Scrip.  Large Size - Approximately 3" x 8 3/8".
    During the Great Depression, the City of Charleston, SC issued "Depression Scrip" to its employees.  Each Department within the County issued their own Script.  These Pay Warrants were used to make purchases.  After their use, the Warrants were Hole Punched or the Corners Removed to eliminate any reuse.
