You are bidding on a used Canopus Yaiba II Bop Drum Set in Red Sparkle Lacquer. They are in Overall Excellent Used Condition. The details are the following: The sizes are 18x14” bass drum, 12x8” small tom, 14x14” floor tom, and a matching 14x5 1/2” snare. These were made in Japan, and you can see the markings in one of the pictures. The set was only used in a studio environment, and never gigged out. There are one or two not very noticeable nicks, or like some common use marks on the rim of the bass drum, etc. but there are no glaring dings or dents of any kind. The heads are all original except for the bass drum back head. The
top heads of the snare drum and toms have some life left in them, but you may want to change them to suit your personal preference. All of the bottom heads of the snare and toms are in fine condition.
The front bass drum head has a couple of normal scuffs on it that do not show up in the pictures. The back bass drum head is an Aquarian Super Kick that does not need to be changed at this time. The tom holder and mount, and the 3 floor tom legs are included in the sale. There is a Mapex Bass Drum Lift currently attached to the bass drum hoop, and it is included in the sale ( see picture). There are some marks along the bottom of the bass drum hoop from less than normal use, and the Mapex riser ( see picture ), but nothing major. I have recently moved the hoop into the correct place, and those marks are not visible. There is no other hardware included. Please feel free to ask any questions in advance of bidding.
On a personal note, this is one beautiful set of drums. The only issue is, do you want the drums heads to be “played in” or “broken in”, or do you want to have “new heads” on your snare and toms. That’s a personal choice or preference and up to you.
