Description
This listing is for one gigantic handmade fiberglass Milestone Percussion drum kit. They were a Canadian based company that built small numbers of drum kits from off the shelf stuff to fully custom kits. When I came into possession of this drum kit, I managed to locate Paul Mason and verified the serial numbers as being Deen's Kit. Some of the shells still bear Deen's signature on the inside. Deen is one of the best singer/drummers of our time. He is known for his time in Journey, Ozzy's Band, Bad English, Dead Daisies, GZR, Fear Factory, Social Distortion, Steve Vai, Marty Friedman, etc. This kit is an absolute monster in size and sound. Since it was such a large kit, it was actually two separate kits originally combined into one massive creation. (That's why there is 2 thirteen inch rack toms). To say that they don't make them like this anymore is an understatement. The kit is currently wrapped in Iron Maiden artwork. The wraps were NOT glued down when they were put on and can be easily removed without damaging the finish underneath. Because there was 2 thirteen inch toms, one of them is not wrapped. I included pictures of it so you know what the kit will look like should you choose to take the Maiden wraps off and return it to it's original silver sparkle. This kit is over 30 years old and has been gigged around the world, so there is some marks in the finish, etc.
The shell sizes are as follows:
Bass Drums: 24 inch diameter, 20 inches deep (quantity 2)
Rack Toms: 8 inch diameter, 12 inch deep
10 inch diameter, 12 inch deep
12 inch diameter, 12 inch deep
13 inch diameter, 12 inch deep (quantity 2)
14 inch diameter, 12 inch deep
Floor Toms: 16 inch diameter, 18 inch deep
18 inch diameter, 18 inch deep
This listing includes all the shells. The rack, cymbals, pedals, throne, etc are NOT included. These hand built kits are absolutely amazing, and there is nothing else like them. They are not common finds these days either, they are an amazing classic.
The listing says pickup only, but I am willing to ship it virtually anywhere at the buyer's expense. As a word of warning, it will not ship cheap. It would be a couple hundred pounds in multiple boxes. It could be partially disassembled to fit in fewer boxes if the buyer desires. If you have any questions, please ask BEFORE BIDDING. Once you click buy it now or submit an offer that is accepted, you OWN IT and are required to pay for it. Your bid or offer is a binding contract and I will not discuss pricing, shipping or anything else afterwards. If you have a fedex, UPS or any other shipping accounts and want to send me labels, that is fine.
Do not miss your chance to own this piece of history. Any questions, feel free to ask me. I am looking to switch to an electric kit, I just don't have the time for tuning and all that anymore and I want something that takes up far less space.
