Hand-treated maple/poplar shells
Each shell within the Gretsch Broadkaster Shell Pack follows the kit’s legendary 3-ply recipe — that being the timeless maple-poplar-maple combination — supported by internal scarf joints for extra strength. As a result, these thin-plied shells exude a tonal warmth that’s full of depth and ready to deliver a big sound! They’re treated on the inside to Gretsch’s proprietary silver sealer for cleansing each shell’s tonal and visual impurities, and are then given reverse roundover bearing edges for maximum shell contact with your drumheads.
