Gretsch vintage, early 80s square badge maple drums, natural gloss, ex. condition.
Other than obvious areas of wear, i.e., bass drum batter-side hoop where the kick pedal attaches (inside and outside of hoop), there are minor usage-type nicks in the finish that are superficial. The die cast rims are in great shape with a few minor imperfections. The tom mount was replaced with a blank cover that doesn't completely cover the footprint of the previous tom mount plate that was there (see photo). These drums sound incredible and have developed a beautiful, light honey, amber patina over forty-plus years.
I bought this kit ten years ago from the Drum Doctor in Glendale Ca. They were owned by an L.A. session drummer first and they were very well cared for until he let them go after receiving an endorsemet deal from DW.
I'm selling because I have gone back to my roots and I'm now, exclusively playing Bop jazz, and I don't have a need for larger sizes any longer.

Update: the drums will be carefully packed and nested inside each other in two boxes. One box will have the kick and the 14" floor tom nested in it. The other box will have the 16" floor with the 12" tom nested.  I am now also throwing in, two Ahead Armor drum cases - one for the Kick drum and one for the 16" floor tom. These cases (over 5 value) will help to safely ship the drums via UPS ground.
