Started when I was 5 or 6 years old.  I am an avid drummer as well as an informal collector of percussion instruments.   I have an almost embarrassing amount of equipment so over the years I'm thinning the flock a bit.

DESCRIPTION OF ITEM AND LISTING TYPE:
Here's a fabulous, new, out of the box, floor sample MAPEX MARS, 4 PIECE DRUM SET, finished in fabulous White Bonewood (see Photos).  Shells are all 100% Birch, 6 ply throughout. 7.2 mm thick.  Bass drum was crushed during shipping.
First as to the drums themselves:
Floor tom  14" x 12" deep.   Mapex makes their toms a bit more shallow as of this year, stating that it makes for a quicker rebound, and clearer sound from the drums. The three orinal factory black legs are included.
(2) Rack Tom  12" x 8" deep.  Both have Mapex  factory Sonic Clear mounts
Snare Drum 14" x 5.5" deep.   8 centered lugs
The hardware on all these drums is, as the photos depict, black which is ionized not to chip. Great contrast to the White Bonewood textured shell finish.
These four drums are new and look new, not a scatch nor defect on them.
Mapex this year has implemented it's "Sonic Clear" bearing edge on all these drums.   The drums are all easy to tune, hold tune, and sound great.  Really great
You get a fast clear tone and quick rebound.
And just to keep absolutely competitive, I'll ship this whole group of drums  to any of the 48 contiguous U.S. via Fed Ex home or ground for .00, or pick the drums up at my shop in the Poconos of Pa. at no cost.

If you have an extra bass drum, I've found that any bass drum looks good with the rest of the set being white.   I do have a white pearl Kent vintage bass drum I'm selling for 5.00 separately listed, that looked good enough to display with this kit
