    Description

This embossed postcard shows "The Capture Of San Juan Hill." The image portrays the battle that took place on July 1, 1898, as the United States Navy and Army-- including Theodore Roosevelt's "Rough Riders"-- captured Spanish-held Santiago de Cuba on the southern coast of Cuba.
The postcard was never posted, but the name "Frank" was written on the backside.
