Set Of 6 Hardwood Framed Frederick Remington Western Themed Prints Cavalry. The six black and white prints are reproductions of paintings Remington painted  in 1902 and show the following Western scenes from different times during America's Westward expansion / "Wild West" days:
- US Army Calvary, circa 1870;
- US Army Calvary, circa 1898;
- US Army Artillery, circa 1880;
- US Army Artillery, circa 1880,
- American Indian, circa 1880;
- Trading Post, circa 1879.
We did not remove the backs on any of the frames, so
WE DO NOT KNOW THE PROVENANCE NOR THE AGE OF ANY OF THE PRINTS!!
We are guessing that they are relatively recent reprints (likely no older than the 1970s and possibly as recent as early 21st Century), but they could be true antiques (over 100 years old. Your guess is as good as ours on this. Being an old US Army Cavalry Trooper himself, Tom couldn't pass up the Army prints, even though we have nowjere to hang them.
The frames measure approximately 11.75 inches by 15 inches on their ourlter edges. All  appear to be hand-made and have a folk-art feel to them. All six are made from hardwood: 4 from white oak and 2 from what appears to be maple. They all have 1/4 inch plywood backs tacked onto the frame.
Condition
is Very Good, Used. There are no cracks, breaks, chips, tears or wear on the frames or the prints, from what we can see - we did not remove any of the prints from their frames, so we cannot guarantee there are not some tears / wear / staining on the edges of any of the prints. There is sticker residue on the backs of some of the frames, but this does not affect the functionality or looks of these art pieces.
PLEASE NOTE: WE SELL ALL OUR PIECES "AS IS"!! We do not generally clean, wash, strip or refinish any of our pieces, so what you read in the description above and see in the photos is what you'll receive. No returns!
