Slingerland Niles USA 4-Piece Drum Set

Description

This is a 1970's Slingerland 4-Piece Set in the Turquoise Sparkle Finish. This set includes the Gene Krupa 3 Ring  5 x 14 Chrome over Brass Snare Drum with Zoomatic Strainer. The Wrap is Brand New Jammin Sam JS Turquoise Sparkle Wrap, so you will not see splits, fade, cracks and scratches on this set. I give the chrome an 8 out of 10 on these drums as it is like new for some pieces. All heads are new or in excellent condition. This set is ready to play out of their boxes. All drums have their original Slingerland Black and Silver Niles Illinois USA Badges. Please see the Drum Specifics, Below:
Bass Drum - 1970's 14 x 22 10 Lug 5 Ply Clear Interior with no re-enforcement rings. The hoops are Mapex Maple with a 15/16 Turquoise wrap inlay. The batter head is a newer Remo Powerstroke. The resonant head is a Remo Ambassador coated bass drum head. The lugs are chrome Soundking lugs, with the exception of 2 which are DfD lugs. The Tension Rods and Claws are original Slingerland. The Spurs are Slingerland Telescopic Spurs. The Tom holder is a Slingerland Set-O-Matic Single holder with Slingerland Set-o-Matic Bass Drum Mount. The Bass Mount Cymbal Holder is a Slingerland mount with a Gibraltar Bass Mount Cymbal stand.
Floor Tom - 1970's 14 x 16 (head size) 8 Lug 3 Ply Clear Interior shell with re-enforcement rings. No tone control. This drum was converted from a concert floor tom to a 2 sided tom. It is all original Slingerland hardware Lugs, Leg mounts and Legs with the exception of one Dfd chrome hoop. The batter head is a Remo Coated Ambassador, the resonant head is a clear Diplomat.
Mounted Tom - 1970's 9 x 13 (head size) 6 Lug 3 Ply Clear Interior shell with re-enforcement rings. No tone control. It is all original Slingerland hardware. The batter head is a Remo Coated Ambassador, the resonant head is a clear Remo Emperor. It has a Set-O-Matic Tom holder.
Snare Drum - 1970's  5 x 14 8 Lug 3 Center Rings Chrome over Brass Shell Gene Krupa model with Zoom-Matic Strainer, tone control and 20 strand wire snappies. The heads are Remo Control Sound Batter and Clear hazy resonant.
