    Description

    Vintage Patriotic postcards George Washington related as seen in the images.  Lovely embossed postcard of our flags crossed with a laurel wreath arrangement in the center.  It is a beautiful art nouveau design: “Long May It Wave Over Land & Sea”, numbered 385 on the back, copyright 1909 by L.A. Conwell, NY.  Two other beautiful postcards of President George Washington.
    President George Washington postcard in uniform with dates of birth and death is unposted, nicely embossed, divided back, not numbered.  Printed in Germany and may be an unmarked John Winsch postcard.  Overall Very Good condition with faint edge wear.  NOTE: I do see a tiny pinhole at the top of one of the cherries - see back of postcard for this area (bottom right on reverse side).  Names on the back.     The Flags postcard is in overall good condition with a long and slight bend below the flags area (at the gold scrolled border), some edge wear, top center edge wear is worse - best seen on back, corner bumping, some browning on the back.  Not postmarked but penciled name and address.  See images for details.
    The portrait of George Washington as painted by Gilbert Stuart, published for Almours Securities for Mt. Vernon, postmarked 1949 is in good condition overall, top center shows faint bend, faint edge wear in places, minor corner wear - see images for details.
